Hi, I'm Kari..

Reaching out to begin this process can feel daunting, so I’m truly glad you’re here.

Many clients come to therapy overfunctioning with the underlying feeling of being overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or simply not good enough. It’s painful and frustrating to feel like your emotions are in control of you—especially when negative thoughts begin to shape how you see yourself, your relationships, and your life.

Imagine what it would be like to truly heal… to manage your emotions more effectively… to feel more confident and connected. In our work together, we’ll gently challenge the stories your inner voice tells you and begin rewriting those narratives. Together, we’ll build practical tools and resources to help you strengthen your mindset, increase confidence, and rebuild trust in yourself—one step at a time.

My Approach

I take a warm, compassionate, and direct approach to therapy. I believe that healing is possible when we feel seen, safe, and supported. I work from a client-centered and attachment-informed lens, blending evidence-based practices with deep respect for each person’s unique story.

My clinical work includes support for:

  • Trauma & PTSD
  • EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Emotional Abuse / Neglect
  • Relationship & Attachment Issues
  • Self-Esteem and Identity Struggles
  • Parenting and Career Transitions
  • Military/Veteran Concerns
  • Grief and Loss

As an EMDR-trained trauma therapist, I help clients heal from deep emotional wounds to reconnect with themselves and others. I often incorporate parts work into EMDR to support a deeper level of inner healing—while always staying collaborative and client-led.

My Background

I earned my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University (Whoop and Gig’em!), and spent several years working in Corporate America while also supporting my spouse through military service in the United States Navy. After staying home with my two children for seven years, I returned to school and earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston–Victoria. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (#85314) in Texas, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a proud member of the Texas Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota professional honor society.

Outside the Office

Personal loss and grief led me to do my own healing work in therapy and ultimately led to a pivot into the profession to help others heal. When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, attending concerts, and roller skating. Life is full—and I believe in celebrating the joy and movement that comes with healing.
